Herndon Inge, Jr., joined the firm, of counsel, on September 1, 2004, bringing with him 54 years of legal experience. He was a partner in the firm of Inge, McMillan & Coley for 39 years prior to joining Taylor ◊ Martino ◊ Kuykendall. Mr. Inge began his law practice in 1948. He was appointed Juvenile Court Judge and served part time in that capacity until September 1955. He was appointed Circuit Judge of the Domestic Relations Division by Governor James Folsom and served for ten years. He was the only Judge in Mobile County to serve as both the Juvenile Judge and Domestic Relations Judge at the same time. He returned to private practice in 1965. Mr. Inge married Eleanor Unger in 1945. She died in 1994. Mr. Inge is the father of three sons, Dr. David Inge, Herndon Inge, III, an attorney, and Dr. George Inge. Mr. Inge served in the United States Army in World War II as an Infantry Officer in Germany. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge and campaign stars for action in Normandy, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was discharged from service as a First Lieutenant in the Infantry.
